Great restaurant with stunning views of the river. Nice service, good food, great coffee. Amazing fresh orange juice 🤤 Tried breakfast and lunch, all good. Favorite restaurant in Vic Falls.
From the moment you arrive, the setting steals the show. The open air terrace offers uninterrupted views of the Zambezis swirling currents & in the distance mist from the near by falls rising like a veil. The menu is a celebration of local and international flavors with a refined twist. We had the freshly caught grilled bread with garlic roasted sweet potato fries. Service was warm &attentive. Staff were eager to share stories about the river and region. It felt less than a transaction and more like being welcomed into someone's home. Dining there isnt just about the food - its about the pulse of Africa. The Zambezi doesn't just flow past ; it becomes part of the meal, part of the memory. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a local celebrating something special Baines Restaurant is a feast for all the senses.
Classy setting with fantastic food and excellent service. The staff were kind and attentive, and this was truly one of the best meals we had in Victoria Falls. We enjoyed the creamy lemon chicken and a perfectly cooked sirloin. For dessert, don’t miss the cheesecake and the chocolate pecan tart — both were outstanding! The Merlot was also a great choice. Just a tip: it can get chilly after sunset, so bring a light jacket, and it’s best to book in advance. Highly recommended!
Perfect place for meals and drinks on banks of the Zambezi river. We enjoyed our meal and the service is top notch - not forgetting the amazing views. They also have an art shop/gallery.
Such a beautiful restaurant right on the River. You can even see the mist from Victoria falls in the distance. The building itself was also super pretty. Had to drink the Little Lourie with mango and berry, and it just tasted like a smoothie. Still good though. For the appetizer, had the crocodile cakes and they were amazing. For the entrees had the creamy lemon and thyme chicken, ostrich kebabs, and pork belly. Everything was a 5/5 and so delicious! For dessert had the chocolate pecan and the rosemary cheesecake. Again, 5/5. Also, special mention of the mashed potatoes. They were so good I ordered a second side of them.
