Authentic Stories from Diners
Overall great experience, the food was rich in flavour and they served a decent amount, I had enough for a doggy bag. Percy the server was kind, bubbly and incredibly efficient. Met the manager, Bryn, too who was equally warm and welcoming too. Great place to dine and relax
Hello Corene, Thank you for the wonderful service. From seating up the table and often checking in to see if everything was okay. Highly recommend this place. Outdoor space is amazing and family friend. Do check it out when you in and around Bulawayo and looking for a beautiful relaxing and enjoyable spot to eat.
Percy served us properly she made sure we enjoyed our meal. The food was really worth it and it has been the best restaurant we have been to .
I recently had dinner at Mozambiq in Bulawayo, and my experience was unfortunately a mixed one. The restaurant itself has a nice setting with a relaxed atmosphere, which initially set the tone for what I hoped would be a good evening. However, once the food and service came into play, things did not quite live up to expectations. The menu looked appealing on paper, but when the dishes arrived, the execution fell short. The flavors were rather bland, and the meals lacked the freshness and richness one would associate with Mozambican-inspired cuisine. Portions were fair, but the taste just wasn’t memorable, which left me feeling underwhelmed. Service was another area that could use improvement. While the staff were generally polite, they were not particularly attentive. It often felt like we had to wait longer than necessary for orders to be taken and for follow-ups such as drinks or condiments. There was a sense of indifference, which made the overall dining experience feel less welcoming than it should have been. In summary, Mozambiq Bulawayo has potential given its atmosphere and concept, but the food quality and service both need significant improvement. At the moment, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a place I would be eager to return to. With a little more care in the kitchen and better attentiveness from the staff, this could be a great spot in Bulawayo’s dining scene – but as it stands, it was a rather average experience.
Had such a lovely experience at this restaurant! The food was great, but what really stood out was the service. Our waitress, Rejoice, was absolutely amazing….so friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely coming back, and I’ll be asking for Rejoice again!
