Reviews for Hwange (safari) Day Trip From Victoria Falls
Great Experience

Highly highly recommend a visit to Hwange National Park when you’re visiting Victoria Falls! My family enjoyed a beautiful and adventurous day in the parks with our wonderful safari guide, Bothwell. Among the day’s spectacles include herds of elephants, zebras, sable, kudu, impala, baboons, giraffes, elephant carcass from a recent lion kill and the shadow of a lion hiding under shade. Bothwell is an expert in the national park and safari wildlife, answered all of our questions about animal identifications (including tens of species of birdlife!), behavior and the safari ecosystem. He was patient with our requests to spend more time with the elephants, or pausing the jeep while taking pictures. We enjoyed a homemade lunch at one of the camps at around ~1pm. If we had better managed our time, we could have gone another route on the way back to the Main camp, which would have increased our chances of seeing lions or leopards, but it was already nearing dusk by the time we were heading back to the main camp. Something to note is the trip from Victoria Falls to the national park, which took ~2.5 hours one way given the poor road conditions (bumpy roads and poor infrastructure), so do factor that into your schedule and expectations. We left Victoria Falls at 6am and returned at 8:15pm. If you are able and if the transportation to and from Victoria Falls can be arranged, would highly consider leaving Victoria Falls earlier to indulge more at Hwange! Phenomenal experience and cannot recommend more!!!

We had a lovely time with Nkue and Precious at Hwange Main Camp, they cooked us delicious meals and organized everything so we could relax and enjoy our trip, we saw lots of elephants and game and thoroughly thrilled with our excursion. Many thanks for making it a memorable experience.
