Explore Victoria Falls on a 2-hour walking tour in the morning or afternoon, and discover one of the world’s most magnificent waterfalls, a site that is listed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. With a local guide, visit an ancient baobab called 'The Big Tree,' and then walk along the rugged rainforest trails that surround the falls. Admire the colorful flora and fauna of the rainforest as well as the craggy gorges of the Zambezi River while learning about Victoria Falls’ fascinating history.
Ok tour, the guide didn't really inform us very much about the falls and was rather like our personal camera man. He was very nice though.
You could do it on your own and save yourself the fee.
Shammy was a great guide. Very informative and fun to spend time with. The sights and sounds of the falls are amazing. Was good to have guide with us to point out different viewpoints and take us into the market in town when we were done with the tour.
A worthwhile introductory tour. Expect to get wet. Make sure you walk across the bridge to Zambia for even more stunning views visa for Zambia not required for bridge access only. This tour included Park admission, so we save 30pp! Complimentary rain ponchos were provided.
When we first got to Zimbabwe and learned that we could do the walking tour of the falls on our own, we were angry that we had booked a guided walking tour online. After the experience, all I can say to you is that IT IS WORTH IT!
VERY IMPORTANT: For some reason, after you book the tour through Viator your e-voucher will say that it does not include the 30USD park entrance fee. This is not the case. The 60 INCLUDES THE PARK FEES, so keep that in mind if it seems expensive!
Our guide, Shamiso, was AMAZING. He spent 3.5 hours with us on a walking tour that should have taken 1.5-2 hours we were enjoying ourselves that much. He gave excellent background information on the falls and at each viewing point, took excellent pictures for us, and was fine to wait for about 15 minutes at the bridge viewing point for us to watch someone bungee jump. His positive energy was contagious this is a guy who, for many years has given at least 2 tours a day of the falls, and is still taking his own photos and excited to share information with visitors. After the tour, he offered to stop in town if we needed anything a huge plus since our hotel was a few miles away from town and could only be reached via an hourly shuttle. We had briefly mentioned to him that we never had a chance to see the Victoria Falls Hotel, and he took is straight over there on our way home, walked us through the grounds, and took a few photos of us as well. The guided tours also provide raincoats, which is a MUST if you dont want to be soaked. Overall, an excellent experience with an amazing tour guide.
