What a wonderful experience in a "yester year" yet fully revamped beautiful carriage drawn by a steam engine. The views of the falls, together with a 5 course dinner, served by excellent staff and managed by a great manager, and host - Thulani.

Wonderful experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the views were amazing, the dinner was delicious. Our guide on the train was very informative and he made it a very interesting and enjoyable evening.

We started out with drinks in the bar car. There was also a guitarist entertaining. Drinks were very good and plentiful. Appetizers were also served. About sunset we were on the bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe looking at beautiful Victoria Falls. Amazing!! Dinner then followed in the dining car. Dinner was very good. Wine was served with dinner. The train itself is lovely in the Old Grand style of trains. A very enjoyable experience!!
DISASTER AND WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR A NO SHOW

The tour operator (Tamuka Travel) was a no show the evening of the train dinner. We did not go and lost the money and i insist a payback for this. I want to send a decent e-mail to you but there is no e-mail available to send. Please forward an e-mail to info@drlouise.co. za so that i can contact you personally. This tour operator should not be used. I have a safari business myself and have talked to many of the operators in Victoria Falls including Mr Marwolf who owns Tamuka and did not show to pick us up at the airport as well or to take us there again. Only afterwards did the tour operators tell us that the train from the Victoria Falls side has not run since COVID. I have another suggestion for you for more reliable tour operators.
